2010 BET Hip-Hop Awards Cyphers

Good mornin' internets!
Did you know that the BET Hip-Hop Awards was last night?
No?  Me either.

Anyway...those of us over the age of 20 with any taste know that there is only one part of that fuckfest worth watching: The Cypher.  SO...let's cut through the bullshit and get right to the spittin'...

Reek Da Villain, Zawcain, and Mickey Factz

Don't know the first 2 cats, but they were OK.  Factz did what we all know Factz can do.  No surprises there.

Next one has a dope concept.  Ice Cube with his 2 sons, OMG (Ha!) and Dough Boy (SUPER HA!).  Rev. Run with his boys, Diggy & JoJo

Who decided to put Royce on with these people.  Seriously?
And if you've ever heard Diamond do anything (consider yourself lucky if you haven't), you know she didn't write that shit.

Wiz Khalifa, Bones Brigante, Yelawolf and Raekwon

I really don't understand the Wiz Khalifah hype.  He might be the current crown-holder for Most Overrated young rapper.  Yelawolf, huh?!  Really want to be a fan...kid can spit, but the actual songs just don't do anything for me.  3 Cheers/Jeers to Raekwon for being the EXACT same emcee for 15yrs.

Aaaaaaaand the main event!  G.O.O.D. Music:  Kanye West, Pusha T, Big Sean, CyHi The Prince and Common

Where was Consequence?!  Dope anyway.  That's alotta bars for ONE record label.  Good for CyHi to step up on this one.  Probably the most exposure he's gotten in his career so far.

And there we have it folks.  Now you don't have to TiVo through 2hrs of marble-mouthed southern rappers talking about god knows what.  15yr olds, doing dances on national television that would embarrass a minstrel performer, and trophies being awarded for songs that are 90% hook.
