A Message to DC United . . .

Just in case there are any DC United fans reading this...
I wanted to let you know that I WILL be in your house tomorrow afternoon.
Come say "hello"!

I will offend you.
I will insult you.
I will mock your winlessness.
I will degrade your stadium.
I will refer to you as St. Louis, Baltimore, or NYC2.
I will take food from one of your BBQs.
I will wink at your mothers.
I will befoul your restrooms.

I WILL WALK OUT WITH 3pts IN MY BACK POCKET!!!

There's nothing you can do about any of it.
Cheers.

Jay Electronica ft. Diddy - The Ghost of Christopher Wallace

Here's words you don't hear often:  New Jay Electronica.
The title tells you exactly where this is is going.
Shit bangs.  I don't know who produced this, but I could absolutely hear Biggie tearing this beat apart.  You can almost hear him towards the end of the song while Diddy is doing his Diddy thing.
Have some.

Game ft. Justin Timberlake & Pharrell - Ain't No Doubt About It

[WARNING:  This is a ridiculously rambling post as it triggers too many issues in my Realm of Nerd.  Buckle up.]

Ok...ok...ok...I'll share it.
I've been having an internal debate about posting this for 2+ days now.  Let me be blatant:  Game is hands down my least favorite artist in Hip-Hop.  He's not even worth the full rant on why, anymore.  The fact that Pharrell is executive producing this dude's upcoming album makes me feel ill.

HOWEVER:  I am the biggest Neptune sound fan on this or any other planet, and damn if this beat don't remind me of that good ol' fashioned Pharell & Chad magic.  Then there's the fact that I never expected the Neptune(s) to work with Timberlake again*, so this is too good for me to ignore.

* Remember The Neptunes has issues with Jive because of the way the Clipse were being handled, so despite the ridiculous chemistry they had with JT (front allllllll you want, Justified is a monster), they stopped working with him.

Sub-ramble:  I'm still pissed that this song was never finished.
Sub sub-ramble:  That music was used for the UK version of this absolute piece of gold (4:50 mark)
Sub Sub-sub-ramble:  If you don't own the UK version of In Search Of...you are doing yourself NO favors.

Yeah...I don't like Game.

Theophilus London - No Answers

 New jam.  Dope.

Now...I know I spit out content at 1000mph (and this is just the stuff I actually decide is worth posting...yeah), and I tend to completely lose track of shit from time to time, because I intake WAY too much day-to-day...

But when the hell did Theophilus London drop a new mixtape??
Was I even aware that it was coming?  I don't remember, man.

Suffering from Too Many Jam-itis.

Interpol - Lights

Interpol.
Still fighting the good fight for music that actually has live guitars and drums in it.
Thank you, Interpol.

The song sounds like it's waiting to explode into a massive ball of volume about halfway through...but it doesn't quite do it.  It's all build up.  I still like it, though.  Foreplay is undervalued in our fast food culture.

What?!

Drake - Find Your Love

Kanye West on them beats...in a kinda 808-ish mood, apparently.
This isn't bad.  Would have liked it alot better with an actual singer, though.
Still sounds slightly unfinished to me.

Eminem - Not Afraid

First single from Recovery.
I'm always optimistic before an Eminem release, but this one really feels different.  I think Hip-Hop fans are finally gonna get that old bull-in-a-china-shop, middle fingers up, brute force delivery that we haven't heard in a few years.  Em's lead singles are usually filed with fart jokes, Christopher Reeve references and Britney Spears throat slashings.  Not this time.  Recovery is gonna be dope.  I know it!

Lupe Fiasco - I'm Beamin'

I'm Beamin (Explicit Album Version)

I'm sure you've gathered as much by this point...but I'm a bit of a closeted megalomaniac.

But its a very harmless, never succeeding, Pinky & The Brian sort of megalomania.

Regardless...in my devine Fauxtopia, I can see this jam serving a grand purpose.
Once I perfect my plans for the educational system, I think this song will be sung at the start and end of every school day by all children from kindergarten through high school.  Good stuff.

Yes.  That sounds about right.

Sleigh Bells - Tell 'Em

Yes.  Absolutely.  Yes.

Sounds like Sleigh Bells got some money for fancier equipment, but they didn't drop that ear-blasting, nut-kicking garbled trashy loudness that makes them so interesting.

Carry on, Sleigh Bells.  Carry on.

Kele - Tenderoni

Tenderonibykeleokereke

Here it is, folks!
Bloc Party frontman, Kele Okereke's debut solo single.

Did I take a deep breath before pressing play?  Maybe.
Was I afraid that Kele's new found out-ness was gonna lead him to unleash the (literally) gayest album since Mika?  Possibly.

My thoughts:  Not too shabby!  I don't know how much I'd actually jam it, but I'm not mad at it.  Good enough for a first single.  He's gonna get all sorts of dude lovin' off of this one.  Ha!

EA's Football Manager for iPhone

Dammit!
I swore I was never gonna become a FM nerd...but they had to go and make an app for that.  $9.99 and a bit of my dignity later, I am now the manager of Rushden & Diamonds in the English 87th division.

Eminem - Despicable

All freestyles with the "Over" and "Bimer, Benz or Bentley" beats end NOW.
That's it.
Party's over.
The beats have just been murdered.

Yeah. Its Like That.

Gauntlet Hair - I Was Thinking

GAUNTLET HAIR - I WAS THINKING from ( . )( . ) on Vimeo.

Not an official video...but whatever.
Its got solar flares and whatnot.

Besides, its not like you have any idea what's going on in this song anyway.
You just like the sounds.  Same as me.

Holy Ghost! 2-for-1 Sale

^^^"Say My Name", from the upcoming 4-jam EP, Static on the Wire, due on 5/18.

And the jam that's sure to get more attention, is the Holy Ghost! remix of LCD Soundsystem's "Drunk Girls", which is currently doing the business on HG!'s website (as well as another fantastic bit from the above mentioned EP).

This F**kin' Guy...

He's DEAD now.
I don't want to hear about him again.
Peace out.

N.E.R.D. ft. Nelly Furtado - Hot n' Fun

You thought I was joking when I said I was gonna post WAY too much content in the run-up to this album.  No, sir.  Ma'am*?
Anyway...here's the full, final, CDQ version of what is apparently the first single for the new album.  Supposedly the video is coming on Monday.

*Another non-rhetorical question that no one will answer, because I'm now convinced that all of my readers are conspiratorially not commenting on anything in a deliberate attempt to keep me insane:  Do I even have female readers?

Nas & Damian Marley - As We Enter

Distant Relatives

I'm sure by now you know these two have a collabo album coming soon (May 18).
I haven't talked about it much, if at all, around here.  I'm too scared that it's gonna be an absolute disaster.  Maybe I'm a musical pessimist.  Actually, I know I am.

Guilty Simpson - Friends Only

Oj Simpson

Madlib on them beats.
Have some.

tAz Arnold ft. Major - Southside Blood Cuz'n

1/3 of Sa-Ra / the man behind the greatest political ad of all time / co-producer of one of the most slept on jams of the last few years, tAz Arnold, a.k.a. TI$A, is getting ready to do some solo work.  If you're familiar with tAz, you know this album could go in a thousand different directions.  Here's the first sample.

Donwill & Von Pea ft. Jermiside - Syrup Sandwich

Remember this?
Well this is from that.
Full work on Mother's Day.

T.I. - I'm Back

T.I. is one of those artists where I may not be a huge fan of his music overall, but for whatever reason, it's just a good thing that he exists.  Does that make any sense?  Nope.

...and I happen to love 599s, so it's got that going for it.

Pac Div ft. Mars Lovejoy - Shine

Yeah, this works in a really simple, don't think too much about it kinda way.

J. Cole - Who Dat

 (See what I did there?!)

Well, well, well...an actual single from J. Cole.
This is the clean version, sadly.
I'm not blown away by this, but I'm 100% certain Cole is capable of much more interesting shit than this.

The New York/Philly Thing . . .

FOR THE RECORD:  These vids were taken at the SAME POINT in the game, with both teams rockin' the same jam at the start of the match:

Rookies:

Seasoned Vets:

(Props to Calpico for spotting the vids)

I guess I'd be remiss (fancy phrase, right?) if I didn't chuck my 2 pennies in on the first meeting of these two titans of global football (shut up and roll with it).

I can sum it up pretty quickly:  Philly just isn't ready yet.

(Wo)Man-for-(wo)man, Philly is...respectable...in terms of support.  They genuinely love their team.  More importantly, they damn sure represent the patch of soil that team plays for.
BUT...as a group.  Nah.  Not even close to being ready for the "I-95 Derbies" or whatever the fuck we're calling the DC-Philly-NY Triangle of Death.  By MLS standards, DC and NY fanbases aren't to be taken lightly, and literally being thrown right into the middle of that hell storm is doing the Sons of Ben no favors.  Their total numbers are fairly impressive, but their songs, creativity, and above all else, EFFORT, was actually pretty disappointing.  I expected/hoped for better.

Philly/SoBs...what you guys do is really...adorable...but you're not ready for prime time yet.  You're new, so you have time.  But it's gonna be a while before your fans are even close to being mentioned with the same hatred as DC...or even Toronto.  Sorry.

Lupe Fiasco x Alicia Keys - Love Letter to the Beat

Chad Hugo on them beats!

Apparently, this was a song Chad did with Ms. Keys back in '07 that never made an album.  Lupe has it now, and it will supposedly appear on Lazers.  Any trace of this bad boy will vanish from the internet with the quickness (Lupe don't play with leaks), so I suggest you hurry up and listen.

Side note:  There's a ton of worthwhile new shit from today and over the weekend, but I'm busy.  Tonight or tomorrow is gonna be jam-packed.

OLD SCHOOL: Aalon - Rock & Roll Gangster

Heard this during a Boondocks re-run last night.
Thought it was dope.
Sharing.

M.I.A. - Born Free (NSFW, unless you're like me and just don't give a shit)

M.I.A, Born Free from ROMAIN-GAVRAS on Vimeo.

Wow.
Everyone else is labeling this as NSFW, and its even been taken off of The You Tubes in the US, so I guess I'll provide the same warning.  It's got its gross bits.

Anyway . . .this has been my jamalam for a whopping 2.5 days now (long time for me).  Here's a new link so you can get a better feel for the actual song.  This video just pushes it to an even higher level.  Actually, it reminds me alot of the stuff Lupe is/was doing with Japanese Cartoon.

Dying to see where the hell this album is going.

M.I.A. - Born Free

"Paper Planes", this is not!
Holy hell, I didn't see that coming.

Trying to predict anything from M.I.A. is a fool's game, but I'm willing to guess no one was expecting a "punk rock" jam like this.  I dig it.  Alot.  There's no way her whole album is gonna sound anything similar to this...but for a one-off...hell yes.

New N.E.R.D. Album, "Nothing" . . .June 15

(Image via BBC/Ice Cream)

I heard Bill Clinton spits a hot 16 on track 5.

New N.E.R.D. right at the start of summer?  Damn right.  Perfect timing.
Prepare yourselves, because nothing sends me into a new music frenzy like new N.E.R.D. or new Kanye.  There are gonna be a thousand posts/rants/hopes/fears/expectations/terrors on this blog leading up to that release...all with a predictable timeline:

I'll hear a song snippet...hate it...blog about it...say I'm afraid of how bad this album is gonna be...repeat x 4-5 songs...album release...I have a lukewarm initial response...a month later I'm in love with it and it's the only album I play in my car all summer.  I promise, that's exactly how this is gonna work.  I know myself quite well.

So let's get it started, shall we?!
I already shared these live clips with you a little while ago.  Now we have a CDQ snippet (I HATE snippets) of "Hot & Fun", and it seems Ms. Nelly Furtado* is involved.  My thoughts:  It's a whatever jam...sober.  Give me either a beach and a bikinified woman, or a dark club, strobe-lighted out...and I can definitely efph with it.

Jeremy Hall: Now Officially My Homeboy

I don't even need to wrap this in my usual sarcasm and sports angst, because its too perfect as it is.

According to Big Apple Soccer, Jeremy Hall and (good friend/former Red Bull/expansion draft casualty/fist-pump aficionado/RBA photo opportunist) Philly Union's  Nick Zimmerman have begun a relatively friendly war of words that included Hall saying:

"Don't cry when we beat you . . .you can have my jersey"

Applaud that man, dammit!
Jeremy Hall, welcome to my list of people I have arbitrarily decided are my homies, despite the fact that I don't know you at all.  Its an illustrious group.  You should absolutely feel honored.  I would easily rank this as high as an early 90's Soul Train Award.  Yeah...it's that big of a deal.

Joell Ortiz - Letter to Sanaa

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with dedicating a jam to somethin' that fine.
Sanaa Lathan is grown woman fine.

Skyzoo - My Interpretation

The Salvation [Explicit]

One of the most slept on albums in I don't know how long.

Blu - BossCo.2

Blu is the "random releasenest" (either him or Oddisee) rapper out there.
I know nothing about this song's origin or purpose.
Have some.

New York Football Challenge in July?

According to Man City's official site, the NY Football Challenge is all set for July 22-25 at "The Can".  It will be a 4-team tournament featuring "Citeh", Tottenham, Sporting Lisbon, and hosts, Red Bull New York.  No official word from RBNY yet.

Can a brotha get a discount?

Tanya Morgan - Bang + Boogie

TANYA MORGAN - BANG + BOOGIE from AAC FILMS on Vimeo.

Brooklynati [Explicit]

Gotta love Tanya Morgan.
Just straight up, no frills, no extra nonsense Hip-Hop.
Pure and simple.

Slaughterhouse - Bimer, Benz or Bentley (Shady Megamix)

Slaughterhouse [Explicit]

"Shady" megamix because they're about to sign with Marshall officially.
Each member of Slaughterhouse has attacked this beat with a solo "freestyle", so they decided to throw them all together into one jam.  Very nice.

the xx - Islands

Snark Alert:  With apologies to Beach House, the xx might be the most over-hyped thing in creation since the rhythm method.  Not to say they don't make quality shit...but damn.  They're a bit too cool on the indie-webs these days.  Why?  Because that whole sphere of music has been unbelievably dull for the last year and a half, and anything marginally good gets praise/press out the ass.  Don't believe me?!  How many albums made after 2008 are getting heavy rotation status on your iPod right now?

Told ya.

ANYWAY...blogger douche-baggery aside.  I really do love this song.  It would hold up in any time period.

In This Light & On This Evening

I think Cool Law states that I'm not supposed to like Editors anymore...or something.
Whatevs.

OLD SCHOOL: The System - You Are In My System

Yup...this is the kinda thing that was jammin' in my house as a little kid.
I have a very specific memory of my Dad rockin' this vinyl while Planet of the Apes reruns were on (right after Soul Train on channel 11) when I was 4 or 5.  Good times.

No wonder everything I listen to now is just a series of bleeps and bloops and random computer noises.

OLD SCHOOL: KRS-One - MCs Act Like They Don't Know

Because I just saw some young under-qualified dude had the nerve to put a song out using this beat.
No, no, sonny.  Certain things are meant to be left alone.

Mister Cee's Guru Tribute Mix

This is a great chance for anyone unfamiliar with Guru to get their learn on.
From Mister Cee's usual Old School @ Noon mix on Hot 97 (NYC).
Have some.

We have Band - Honeytrap

I've ben debating for a few days whether or not I like this song.
I still don't know.
Decide for yourselves.
As you can imagine, there are 479 remixes out there, and I am entirely too lazy to link all the good ones.

Tobacco ft. Beck - Fresh Hex

What's a Tobacco?  I'ono.
This jam is as short as it is dope.

Check out another choon, "Sweatmother"
I don't fully understand what's happening in either of these songs, but my ears are pleased.

jj - CEO Birthday

I'm not even gonna tell you what's gonna happen when you press play.
Just let it happen.  Hope you're wearing a helmet to keep the contents of your skull in a singular location.

Little Brother - Curtain Call

Today (somewhat) marks the end of an all-too-brief era:  The end of Little Brother.  The duo of Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh have released Left Back, their final album together.  True Hip-Hop groups are a rare thing these days, and LB's body of work is more than enough to cement their place at the top of the post-Tribe greats.  It's a shame to see them move on...but there will still be tons of solo music from each emcee, so it's not a complete loss.

"Curtain Call" (Khrysis on them beats) is the first single.

R.I.P. Guru

Legendary emcee and GangStarr member, Guru, passed away last night due to cancer-related complications.

FLASHBACK: Beck - Missing

I think Beck might have the record with me for biggest shift in my personal opinion.
I thought he was one of the most annoying and cheesy people walking this Earth until (for reasons I still don't know) I decided to get The Information and thought it was incredible.  Then I went back and got Guero...magic.  I don't know what Beck was doing between '05-'07, but his shit was on point.  Those are easily 2 of my favorite albums of the last decade.

Uffie ft. Pharrell - ADD SUV

Uffie featuring Pharrell - ADD SUV (Full Track)byDISCODUST

I supposed I'd be a bit of a fraud if I didn't mention this, right?
You know what your grandma says, "If you can't say something nice..."
But damn, this is bad.

LCD Soundsystem - Drunk Girls

Bonkers.

This is the only song I've heard so far on this album that doesn't scare the hell out of me.  The new album is out there for the gettin'...but I haven't.  Too scared that I'm not going to like it.

Juventus v. New York: May 23

No rumor.  Factual L. Jackson:

SECAUCUS, NJ (April 19, 2010) – Red Bull New York announced today that the New York Red Bulls will face renowned Italian club, Juventus FC, on Sunday, May 23rd at 1:00 PM ET at Red Bull Arena in an exhibition match.

“Since opening Red Bull Arena, we have been committed to bringing in elite clubs from around the world to play in what we consider to be the best soccer-specific stadium in North America,” said Red Bull New York Managing Director Erik Stover. “With its storied history and multiple championships, Juventus certainly fits in with this vision. They are a prestigious club with a tremendous following around the world and we are excited to host them at our brand new home.”
Totally irrelevant personal opinion:  I'm not a huge fan of in-season friendlies.  Some see a challenge, all I see in a potential for JPA to shatter a knee in a game that means less than nothing.  And let's not forget how little European football (ESPECIALLY Italian) means to me anyway.  I'm honestly more excited about taking on LA, Philly, DC or whoever than this.  Ain't even like this is gonna be Juve's best 11.  Will I go?  I honestly don't know.

Don't get me wrong.  I get it.  Money, exposure, "good of the game", yadda yadda.  But my team is 3-1 right now and everything is lookin' kinda nice.  Can't Juve go play Columbus or something?  They haven't had a game in a month, let them do it.

Before I forget, Countdown to Del Piero shenanigans in 5...4...3...2...1...

Raekwon - Jolly Rancher

The Alchemist on them beats samples.
Raekwon is rare in that he seems to actually get better as he gets older.
Have some.

Wayne and Drake Think You're an Idiot...

Listen to this and tell me that Wayne and Drake's writer isn't the same person.
Go ahead.  Convince me that the above and this didn't come from the same brain.

Same flow.  Same cadence.  Same style of wordplay.  Same "melody" on the hooks.
Ain't foolin' nobody (over 25) with this shit.

Trackademicks - Spend The Night

Trackademicks - "Spend The Night" from HNRL on Vimeo.

That track is nuts.
This jam is on the Trackademicks The [Re]Mixtape vol. 3, which came out 2 weeks ago . . .apparently.

And its not often that I get to reference a Prince sample...so take summa this with you (get it?)

Theophilus London - Accept the New

New mixtape coming soon...

Kidz In The Hall - Grizzly Man

Land of Make Believe [Explicit]

A few weeks ago, I Facebook'd that Grizzly Bear's* "Two Weeks" was begging to be flipped into a Hip-Hop beat.  Looks like it's happened already.  This is cool...but not quite the magic I think the right producer can get out that track.

* I officially take back any negative thing I've ever said about Veckatimest.  It's a ridiculously "right place, right time, right mood" album...but it's fantastic.

Murs & 9th Wonder ft. Suga Free - Let Me Talk

I don't know who this Suga Free chap is...but damn.  I feel like I should.
This is dope.  From the Fornever album.

Skillz ft. Boogie - Wave Yo Hands

Skillz and Boogie "Wave Yo Hands" from Visually Inklined on Vimeo.

Album on TUESDAY!!

Miike Snow Deluxe Edition

My favorite album of 2009, Miike Snow's self-titled debut, is being re-released with a Deluxe Edition that includes 2 new songs:

FLASHBACK: Shaq ft. Notorious B.I.G. - Can't Stop The Reign

BIG CHOON!!!

Wait, wait, wait, I'm not done . . .
Shaq ft. Big Pun & Fat Joe - The Bigger They R

New LCD Soundsystem 3-for-1 Sale

Take note:  I am a blogger whose main mission is to share, not opine.  Soooo, let's keep this short and wind-bag free, shall we?

"I Can Change"

Yuck.

"Dance Yrself Clean"

Yuck 2:  Electric Bugaloo

"You Wanted A Hit"

Aaaaaaand here we are in I'm Terrified Of This Album country.

Junkie XL ft. Jan Hammer - Made For Each Other

This is absolute magic.
...and yes, it's that Jan Hammer (and samples this).

The big question:  How did Red Bulls defender Roy Miller end up in this video?

Joell Ortiz - Lemonade

You know what it is.
Respect that man.

Red Cafe ft. Fabolous - I'm Ill

Visuals for another song I wish I didn't like.
(It's the hook sample + my own inflated ego, I know)

FACT:  This song's chorus has lead to me being punched by my girl for being "sooooooo WHACK!".

New N.E.R.D. (Live)

"Hot & Fun"

Few words pique my interest like "new N.E.R.D.".  Its right up there with "free rum".
I'm gonna hold out full opinion on this jammie until I hear a more proper version.  It sounds a little hollow, but like it might work under the right circumstances (87 degrees and half sober).  We shall see.

"Party People"

N.E.R.D from Erin Ashley on Vimeo.

Can't tell what I'm supposed to make of this one either...but it does sound a hell of alot like the other one doesn't it??  Yup...and just that quickly, I am afraid of this next album.  Have they shifted into full-time frat boy music??  GAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!

But...truth be told, I didn't like "Everyone Nose" when I first heard it, and if you know me offline, you know that's like superhero theme music to me at this point.

DON'T FRONT!!! Dirty Money ft. T.I.- Hello, Good Morning

Now...its no secret that I happen to think Diddy is a fantastic individual, especially if you have the good sense not to take the man too seriously.  However, that doesn't always translate to the jams.
As much as I may want to front on this Dirty Money project...I just can't.
Alot of this shit is just sounding too right.
I promise (unless you're a maniac like me with his comp hooked up to a big ass sub woofer and surround sound on par with what's in his car) your laptop speakers just aren't doing this justice.

Get some instrumental while you're at it.

Pixels by Patrick Jean

NYC has been (space) invaded!
Yeah...NAILED it!

Suzanne Vega x The Roots - Tom's Diner

Wait...
How the hell did this happen and I didn't know immediately?!

MLS: Week 3 Predictions For That Ass

Somehow I failed my massive, adoring public and forgot to make my predictions for last Saturday's game.  Rest assured that they all would have been perfect anyway.

Let's begin, shall we...
(Away v. Home)

New York 1-0 Chivas USA:  A Haiku
The Goat leaves hungry.
Kljestan: All name. No glory.
The Bull feasts. Scores one.

DC United 0-0 Philadelphia:  The game will never get a chance to kick off.  The stadium will be shut down in a joint effort by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Center for Disease Control due to unprecedented levels of scum detected both in the stands and on the field.

OR

At the start of the second half, Donovan McNabb runs onto the field in a DC United shirt to the sound of Stone Cold Steve Austin's theme music and gives a Stunner to Jack McInerny.  He is arrested for child abuse.  A riot ensues.

Toronto 1-3 New England:  Toronto does its best to stay in the lead for the Third Circle of Hell Cup (the unofficial trophy competition between TFC, DCU and PU)

Colorado 2-3 Kansas City:  Yeah.

Los Angeles 2-1 Houston:  At the games conclusion, Arena and Kinnear will meet at midfield and exchange handshakes and deliver Brando's "I coulda been a contender" monologue.

Columbus 3-0 Dallas:  A late field goal by GBS to cover the spread.

San Jose 0-2 Chicago:  Because San Jose isn't good.  I don't have a joke for this.  It's a very sad thing.

Seattle 2-2 Salt Lake:  It is revealed that Nate Jaqua's injury is actually a fake, and just a sorry excuse to go on his previously scheduled pub crawl with Ben Roethlisberger...while Freddy Montero watches the action from the bushes outside.

Laws ft. Joe Budden - Target Practice

Lyrics for days on this one.
I'm not too familiar with this Laws dude,  but I think I might have to keep an ear open.
Kinda sounds like a young Ali Vegas...yeah.

Quadron

I mentioned this group about a week or so ago...
Didn't realize the album was actually out already.

Robin Hannibal can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned, so you really need to get up on this.

St. Joe Louis: Almost There EP

Memory refresher.

Very happy to pass this EP along.
Hip-Hop trio, St Joe Louis,  have made this available for free download as they finish up their upcoming album, 30,000 Ft. High & Rising.  Don't sleep...trust me.  Have some.

Let's Play The Feuuuuuud!! (RBNY - PU Edition)

Have a look at this action, right here:

Sat., Apr 24, 4PM - Philadelphia @ New York:  League match.
First ever (proper*) meeting between the two team and fanbases.  What are we gonna call this thing anyway?  The Turnpike Tumolt?  The Battle for the Soul of South Jersey (as if they had them)?

and then...

Tues., Apr 27, 8PM - Philadelphia @ New York:  US Open Cup
That's right, Philly!  It's bargain shoppin' time at Red Bull Arena!  2-for-1 ass kickins in 76hrs, and you only have to drive 2hrs.  Recession pricing to keep things economical.

* Let's not forget how those Philly fools got worked at the Draft
