N.O.R.E. ft. DMX & Ja Rule - Stay Flawless

Yeah, I'll give you a minute to read that title again.
If this came out in '98?  Awwwww shit!
2009?  Ehhhhhhh.

(haha...I didn't have a "Ja Rule" label before this)

FLASHBACK: Cam'Ron ft. DMX - Pull It

"He was only 8!"

I can't tell you how many self-made mixtapes I had with this shit on it.
I remember my dad let me borrow his car when I was like 17, and I rode with my local friends up to my mega-suburban, Catholic prep-school blasting this for all that system was worth...the "don't be alarmed, we're Negroes" faces in the parking lot were priceless. Ahhh, high school.

Jadakiss ft. DMX, Eve, Drag-On & The LOX - Who's Real (Remix)

DOUBLE-R!!!

Listen . . .I can't tell you how HEAVY I was on the Ruff Ryder movement back in high school. This is great. I don't even care if the verses are any good. It makes no difference to me, whatsoever. It's just great to hear everyone on the same (Swizz) track again!

You know what...time for a trip down memory lane with some RR crew joints:
(I'm way too happy about this song, lol)

DMX's "Who's Real (Remix)" Verse

Usually, I don't post a jam until the whole shit is available. Snippets and previews fill me with a blinding fury the likes of which motal souls cannot comprehend.

But this is special. It's the dog, son!!!
(And how PERFECT is the timing of his comeback right as the "Death of autotune" movement gets rolling?! Perfect)

My inner 1999 self is extra amped about this.

DMX ft. Sisqo - What You Want

Now . . .this was THEEEEE jam when it came out.
I remember rollin' with my boys in my mom's brown '83 Toronado (sadly, this was 1999/2000), and this album was on heavy rotation.

But in retrospect...is this not the most ig'nant, retarded shit you ever heard in your life??
Wow! This song has transcended to it's own level of terrible awesomeness. The whole thing is a freak show. DMX, Sisqo, the pseudo-Asian beat. One thing though: Hype "I Brought Thickness to Mass Media" Williams' choice in talent still holds up almost a decade later.
