At the risk of being blogsassinated, LCD's "final" album bored me to tears.  Very disappointed.  But this jams.  One of the few that get repeat love.  Add Muppets to the equation, and disliking what you're involved with here in a public admission that you are communist.

This album is odd to me.  When I listen to it as a singular project, I don't really like it.  As individual songs, it's pretty good.  I don't know, man.

However, the lesson we can all take from this video is that no matter how well you raise your robot baby, eventually they all end up in porn.

New single from LCD Soundsystem!!!   YEAH!!!

I was very nervous about this, but dammit, this song feels right.  Sound of Silver was so incredible, I'm just glad that things don't seem to be straying too far away from that near perfection.  Oh joy of joys, LCD Soundsystem is back.  New album May 18.

Also...you know I hate snippets, but for LCD, I make exceptions.

"Paper Planes" F.Y.I.

I feel obligated to tell you all that the so-called "Slumdog Millionaire Remix" of M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes" that's being thrown about this week is nothing new. It's the super dope DFA (home to LCD Soundsystem, Holy Ghost!, Hercules & Love Affair and Hot Chip) remix . . .and it's been around for about 10 months now. I'm surprised so may sites are dropping the ball on that one.
