Diddy-Dirty Money - I Hate That You Love Me

I don't care how much you might hate Diddy, but dammit, a good song is a good song, and I love this one.  I'm a sucker for a well-placed piano.  For real, give the album a listen.

And since the quality of this video is shit, get up on this:

Diddy-Dirty Money - Azz On The Floor

Audio quality is kinda whack, but you know you'd jam this if no one was looking.
Wonder if Diplo likes this.

Diddy-Dirty Money - Someone to Love Me

DIDDY / DIRTY MONEY "Someone To Love Me" from nabil elderkin on Vimeo.

I repeat:  Hate all you want, but you aqnd I both know that some of these jams are pretty good.
Last Train to Paris drops tomorrow (14th).

Diddy-Dirty Money ft. Drake - Loving You No More

The inevitable video.
Y'all already know I gave up on trying to front like these Dirty Money jams don't sound right.

Dirty Money - I Want Your Love

Okay!  Diddy an'nem went all the way to the disco with this one.
I am VERY curious to see just where this album is going.
We find out on the 28th.

Jay-Z - Ultra

This really feels half-baked.
Supposedly this is a reference track for Diddy's upcoming Last Train to Paris fiasco...so don't get too worked up one way or the other

Today is "Diddy Day"

For no reason at all, other than being kinda bored, a bit of a jerk, and this coming up on my iPhone...I am declaring today Diddy Day.

I think you should join me in my celebration.

To mark the occasion, I plan to sneak in as many Diddy ad-libs into a conversation with my boss as possible.  For example:

Boss: Working hard, I see!
Me:  Can't stop.  Won't stop.

Boss: Heading out to lunch early?
Me:  Uh-huh...yeah.

Boss:  Can I get that finished TPS report on my desk?
Me:  Take dat, take dat, take dat.

...and so forth.  I'll stop short of referring to him as "playboy", but you get the general idea.

Dirty Money ft. Rick Ross & T.I. - Hello, Good Morning

Vacation Late Pass Alert

I still don't like Ross, and this song is still pretty hollow...
but, dammit, that beat is just way too crazy.

Is it possible for arrogance to have a sound?
Maybe its just me and my ridiculous ego, but that beat is like an instant trigger for flagrant acts of Diddy-esque cockiness, and I love it.

Jay Electronica ft. Diddy - The Ghost of Christopher Wallace

Here's words you don't hear often:  New Jay Electronica.
The title tells you exactly where this is is going.
Shit bangs.  I don't know who produced this, but I could absolutely hear Biggie tearing this beat apart.  You can almost hear him towards the end of the song while Diddy is doing his Diddy thing.
Have some.

DON'T FRONT!!! Dirty Money ft. T.I.- Hello, Good Morning

Now...its no secret that I happen to think Diddy is a fantastic individual, especially if you have the good sense not to take the man too seriously.  However, that doesn't always translate to the jams.
As much as I may want to front on this Dirty Money project...I just can't.
Alot of this shit is just sounding too right.
I promise (unless you're a maniac like me with his comp hooked up to a big ass sub woofer and surround sound on par with what's in his car) your laptop speakers just aren't doing this justice.

Get some instrumental while you're at it.

The Real: Deconstructing Ke$ha

Deconstructing Ke$ha from jeff on Vimeo.

Can't possibly do an adequate job of expressing just how much I loathe that woman and her insuffereable song(s).  Wait...I think I just did.

The Black Rob line = Championship material.

Consequence ft. Puff Daddy & The Lox - Whatever You Want (Bad Boy Remix)

No such thing as too many remixes!
Have some.

Sad Fact:  I'm such a geek that I honestly don't even care if this song is any good because A)  It's The Lox and Diddy on the same song, and B) Diddy is calling himself "Puff Daddy" again for this jam.  Gotta love it.

Dirty Money ft. Lupe Fiasco - Angels (Remix)

"Knew she was New Jersey, but said that she was Anaheim"

I don't have much use for the Auto-Diddy vocals, but (of course) Lupe's verses are on point.
Have some.

Thursday is coming!

Dirty Money - Love Come Down

Hmmm.
I need this instrumental ASAP, I know that much.

Diddy must be bored as hell, he doesn't seem to know what to do with himself these days. Nasty vodka (don't front, that shit is GROSS), 11 shows on MTV, that whole Last Train to Paris fiasco...

...speaking of which, let me hip you to some shit. If you think Last Train to Paris was only supposed to be a random, under-promoted mixtape, then you're nuts. I promise you, that "mixtape" was gonna be Diddy's next album. You know...the reason for a whole TV show...the "album" that we suddenly don't hear about any more. But then...something happened, and Diddy had to scap it, but didn't want to put all that time/money/work/Felix to waste. Hmmm . . .I wonder what happened that made him change his mind.

ANYWAY . . .so now we get Dirty Money, which is The Didster himself, Dawn from Danity Kane...and somebody named Kaleena (no idea who that is). So there yo go.

Cassie ft. Busta Rhymes, Day 26 & Red Cafe - Must Be Love (Remix)

In his infinite wisdom, Mr. Combs has smashed Cassie's version and the original Day 26 demo version together. Then he got himself a verse from Busta (whose romance jams always make me chuckle) and the latest Bad Boy addition, Red Cafe.

I still don't understand why the Cassie/Diddy version wasn't a monster hit, but hey...what do I know? I don't like this new version. It's crowded and messy.

Chester French x Clinton Sparks: Jaques Jams

GRAAAAAGH!!! I SWEAR, if this mixtape isn't the absolute dopeness, I will not post about Chester French ever again. I didn't want to mention this mixtape as it was, but when the guest appearance list looks like this:

"an unprecedented roster of superstar artists, including Diddy, Pharrell, Jermaine Dupri, Wale, Bun B, Talib Kweli, Mickey Factz, Cassie, Solange, Janelle Monae, N.O.R.E., Kardinal Offishall, Pusha-T of The Clipse, Common, Lady GaGa, Ben Lyons and The Mad Rapper!"

...what the hell am I supposed to do?!
Anyway . . .have some.

Jay-Z x Diddy - Maybe (Demo)

That's some smooth shit in progress.
Of course, the story is that this is from a studio session for Blueprint 3...but doesn't the vibe feel alot more like a leftover from American Gangster (remember, Diddy was the exec. producer)?

I suppose its possible that both are true in some way.

Must Be Love (Instrumental)

(What the efph does Wayne have to do with this?)

HA! I win.
Say what you want about the artists involved, but this is the cognac-sippinest, slow-grindenest, front-like-you-actually-have-feelings-for-somebody track to come out so far in'09. Can't tell you how happy I am to have an instrumental. Who needs the lyrics, really?

So, people of the interwebs: Do what you do. Record a better jam on this beat, You Tube it, make it known so I can rock it accordingly.

Also...I didn't know that this was originally a Day 26 song. Hmmm.

UPDATE: Cassie ft. Diddy - Must Be Love

(Make sure to HQ it up)

Friggin' SMASH by the end of this weekend once it gets its first run through the clubs.
Write it down. And I NEED the instrumental on this. Somebody make it happen!

P.S. - Diddy, for real though . . .
This is the jam, but it doesn't make up for that nasty vodka you've talked everyone into drinking. Ciroc (however you spell that shit) is THE WORST alcoholic beverage I have ever consumed. And that's an extensive list, my friend. I gotta give you credit though, sir. You've turned Turkish bath water into a multi-million dollar brand over night . . .without ever really doing anything! Well played.
